<p>Prankster activists perform an elaborate hoax to improve conditions for garment workers in the Adidas supply chain. Staging a shocking runway show at Berlin Fashion Week, they use humor and mischief to make the world pay attention to labor and environmental abuses that the massive sportswear brand is trying to hide.</p>
<p>Alice-Heart is an aimless college student residing in Philadelphia. She aspires to be a famous writer but drops out of school in her last semester of senior year on a whim. Immediately cut off from her disappointed Filipino mother and dumped by her studious boyfriend, she finds that she has to pay bills on her own for the first time. Distraught, she takes solace in her neighbor Tony, a self-sufficient freelance photographer. Tony encourages her to pursue her passions and hold onto her friendships. With this in mind, Alice-Heart navigates the beginnings of adulthood and combats “adult baby” allegations along the way.</p>

One day in 2020, a woman in her 80s decides to clean 7 spoons which were a gift given to her by her grandmother in the 1960s. She believes they are silver but, when she dips the first spoon into a can of silver polish, it vanishes. The woman is Hanne Ioannou, the grandmother of the film director, Sophia Ioannou Gjerding.</p>
<p>Eric, a lonely blind man, makes an unknown birthday wish. As he arrives at his monotonous call center job, he begins to realize he is hearing the audio description for the film. [For those unaware, audio description is a basic narrative audio track added to a film to describe visual activity to visually impaired audience members]. The audio describer, Duncan, is shocked by this as well, but Eric wants him gone. Duncan reveals he can’t leave until the film’s plot is completed- finding Eric a friend. The two work together to find Eric a friend. After continually failing, but having fun doing so, Eric realizes Duncan has become a good friend.</p>
<p>When sarcastic teen, Alex, is “broken up with” by her oncologists who can’t wait to get rid of her, she’s ripped out of the chaotic hospital life she finds cozy, and sent back home to her multicultural family. Despite trying to pick up where she left off one year ago, her overbearing immigrant parents, hypochondriac sister, and MIA best friend have all moved on. This is remission. But Alex doesn’t ring a bell to celebrate, throw on a cancer ribbon t-shirt, or organize a multi-million dollar fundraiser. Instead, she begs for her daily morphine drip, clings to her radiation mask as a safety blanket, reminisces about gory hospital stories, and plays heart monitor beeps in her headphones to fall asleep. Despite everyone’s high expectations of her, she can’t get herself to play the part of the inspirational survivor. She’s a bad survivor and everybody knows it.</p>

In response, Noah gives a “vagina 101” lecture, and they are transported to a life-sized vagina—Ly’s first time encountering one “IRL.” Just as she begins to process this, they’re snapped back to reality by Ava, Ly’s other bestie. Ly admits that bottom surgery has been on her mind, but she’s unsure whether it’s her true desire or conditioning set by the patriarchy. Despite her friends' support, Ly remains uncertain of which path to take.</p>

<p>You are invited to the Pre-game – a meditative, mixed reality experience that deconstructs the production of virtual bodies in animation and game engine workflows, set against the backdrop of American football culture. Animated virtual bodies merge fragments of reality with algorithmic abstraction. You move from a tailgate picnic to the perspective of the spectator in the sports arena, to the player on the field, and into an abstract, grotesque football pile-up. The piece was conceived in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where the directors worked as colleagues next door to the largest football stadium in the United States.</p>
<p>Promise to Stronger Days connects two different, evolving storylines. The main storyline is about Adira’s internal struggle to hook up with Jerome — an attractive man who rescued her at her friend Keke’s birthday party — after months of having no sex due to her trauma. The other storyline is fragmented at first, but her truth is pieced together: Adira was sexually assaulted by her father after being left alone with him due to marital issues. Adira becomes increasingly frustrated with her inability to connect with others due to her trauma, until she decides to take her power back. After a few failed sex attempts with Jerome, she intentionally returns to her childhood flashbacks to kill her abuser.</p>

This project is adapted from the unknown Vietnamese refugee camps in Penghu, Taiwan, and from a dream of an unidentified female victim in the Khmer Rouge period.</p>

Streets, roads, and their bastard offspring the "stroad" are characterized by long stretches of durable material that provide a clear and safe route between destinies. They may contain markings that dictate behavior or inspire feelings of existential dread. The route is not unlike a geometric line-- it is made up of a string of infinite points. Movement prevents the establishment of an unintended destination, even if it only lasts a moment.</p>
