Landscapes are made distinct from environments through their artificial quality and contain recognizable traits that tell us what they are. Streets, roads, and their bastard offspring the "stroad" are characterized by long stretches of durable material that provide a clear and safe route between destinies. They may contain markings that dictate behavior or inspire feelings of existential dread. The route is not unlike a geometric line-- it is made up of a string of infinite points. Movement prevents the establishment of an unintended destination, even if it only lasts a moment.
