Through advanced statistical tools, physicist Diego Amâncio, from the University of São Paulo at São Carlos, seeks to discover if the manuscript is a coherent text or just a random jumble of meaningless symbols, as some researchers defend. "I analyse the text without knowing the words, I am interested in the organization of the text", he says.
