<p>Jorge de Sena went into exile to Brazil and later to the United States. Although he never returned to Portugal, he maintained an epistolary correspondence with Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen. Given the political circumstances, the letters &mdash; and the film &mdash; offer their thoughts on the period of the Portuguese fascist regime, but above all, they are a testament to the affinity between two poets, what keeps them connected and their love for the written word.</p>

<p><em>Trailer</em></p> <p>Buenos Aires. Exe, 25 years old, has just lost his job and is not looking for another one. His neighbors and friends seem as odd to him as they always do. Online, he meets Alf, a boy from Mozambique who is also bored with his job and who is about to follow Archie, another boy who has run away into the jungle. Through the dense vegetation of the forest, Archie tracks ants back to their nest. One of them wanders off course and comes across Canh, a Filipino, sitting on top of a giant heap of earth and who is about to go back to his strange, beautiful home town, where he too has a miserable job.</p>

<p>In 1927, French poet Henri Michaux travelled across Ecuador and jotted down his impressions in a diary as he discovered the country&rsquo;s landscapes and populations. With TERRITORIO, Alexandra Cuesta completed this fragmented account starting from the ocean, across the mountains and into the jungle. In stationary sequence shots, the swaying horizon, shadows and reflections recreate shot/reverse shot effects. Each frame is composed with great subtlety, creating surprises for the viewer to explore while allowing plenty of scope for what happens off camera.</p>

<p>Tales of Two Who Dreamt is set in a housing block in Toronto and pivots on representation and self-representation. Here, a Roma family rehearses the stories of their past for the upcoming hearing on their residency status.</p>

<p>In June of the year 2000, in the region of the Chiapas Heights, an ambush against a patrol car took place where cops were killed. Tzotzil professor Alberto Patishtan was randomly pointed out as guilty of this event and sentenced to 60 years in prison.</p>

<p>Director Eloy Dom&iacute;nguez Ser&eacute;n moves from Galicia to Sweden in 2012, with little prospects, no knowledge of the language or the culture as a whole, Ser&eacute;n becomes determined to overcome the barriers presented by language in a quest to learn about Sweden, the language and himself, all while navigating language classes, pressure to return home from his friends and family, working various laborious jobs and dating.</p>

<p>Wilson left home in Medellin (Colombia) on his way to Bogota but he never arrived to his destination. Thirty years later after the peace agreements with the FARC, he returns from his exile in London to meet his family who believe him dead. The plane journey shapes a parable just like the title of the poem by Porfirio Barba Jacob.</p>

The wind, stones, sea, and fire are all characters alongside the people who inhabit this vast, unforgiving territory. Craftsmen wage an intimate battle while fishermen and loggers dig into the mystery of the landscape interwoven with the region&rsquo;s history and legends.</p>

<p>A Secret in the Box is a documentary that explores the life and works of Marcelo Chiriboga (1933-1990), internationally known Ecuadorian writer, member of the &quot;boom&quot; generation (Garcia M&aacute;rquez, Vargas Llosa, Carlos Fuentes), who remains unknown in his country until today.</p>

<p>A beggar and a butcher fight for the Princess and the Queen of Spain&rsquo;s love. These characters, without their awareness, will access a place denied for them because of their ethnic and social status.</p>

<p>In a post-cinematic meditation on forms of political resistance, No me lo creo explores image consumption and construction as warfare, referencing 20th and 21st-century conflicts from Spain and abroad. Through experimental montage, sound, and rhythm, the film is a sensory, non-linear confrontation with propaganda, silence, and memory.</p>

<p>Manuel makes a living out of odd jobs; he&rsquo;s a day laborer, an autonomous worker; however, his true passion is art, because he breathes through art. While two filmmakers shoot a documentary on his days, Manuel starts imagining his own film.</p>

<p>Maldonado lives on a ranch on an island in the Paran&aacute; River. He lived there his entire life, like his father, like his grandfather. One morning, after many years, his wife, Celia, and his daughter, Victoria, leave him. Maldonado returns to the ranch after a morning of fishing, and they are no longer there. Suddenly, he finds himself alone and unsure of what to do. Life on the island offers no respite: he can&#39;t stop fishing, making fires, tending to the animals; the island demands it. Maldonado doesn&#39;t abandon his tasks, but a new fragility appears in his life.</p>

<p>Jos&eacute; Mauro is nervous about leaving his old apartment. Hilda and him will move to a place where everything will be new again, after 35 years living together. Hilda doesn`t know what to do with the objects from that house that was never hers, and from where Jos&eacute; Mauro has not left for the past 20 years. Everything will be packed and the old mattresses thrown away.</p>

<p>Manuel is a young fisherman who decides that his last day of fishing has arrived&hellip; a strange sound haunts his habitat. His sister Daniela and his neighbors regret his decision and prepare a farewell for him.</p>

<p>A documentary about an elderly couple who are evicted from their land and seek a new lease on life, such as learning the trade of fishing. It&#39;s about a filmmaker who, after eight years of failing to secure funding for his latest fiction film, decides to embark on this new documentary project, which is ultimately cut short. With all this material, the filmmaker begins to reflect in his small apartment and, without stopping, begins to compose and film himself. Canalete is the result of these two encounters.</p>

Director Carlos P&eacute;rez Agust&iacute;, along with original actors Segundo Narv&aacute;ez, Humberto Coronel, and Sergio Galvis, restages the moment when the dammed waters were released. Through cinema&rsquo;s artifice, time is frozen, merging past and present in a dreamlike meditation on memory, catastrophe, and the persistence of images.</p>

<p>Una noche, un d&iacute;a is a poetic micro-documentary that reflects on the passing of time and the contrasts between darkness and light. Through minimal images and sound, Pablo Balseca captures fleeting moments that suggest memory, rhythm, and transition, inviting the viewer to contemplate the subtle differences between what the night hides and what the day reveals.</p>

With Jupiter as a symbolic axis, the film explores femininity, identity, and the connections between the earthly and the celestial.</p>
