Commissioned by Lancaster University, UK, the animation responds to their ongoing research into environmental modelling - for instance the effects of climate change upon locality - by using a variety of datasets, digital technologies and process modelling. The film merges still images of Morecambe Bay – an important site for their research – with drawings that are animated through code. The soundtrack is the voice of Prof. Gordon Blair. The dance between the animated imagery and his words, evokes the complexities, the uncertainties and the importance of the research.
