Magic Atlas is a feature-length animated film by Chinese contemporary artist Sun Xun, developed over more than a decade using labor-intensive woodcut animation. Premiering as the centerpiece of his solo exhibition at Guangdong Times Museum, the film constructs a mythical and philosophical universe that reflects on history, technology, language, memory, and the human condition. Combining handcrafted woodcuts with digital animation, Magic Atlas exemplifies Sun Xun's distinctive visual language and long-term artistic practice.
