For more than thirty years, photographer Alessandra Sanguinetti has documented the lives of cousins Guillermina Aranciaga and Belinda Stutz in rural Argentina. Beginning in childhood and continuing into adulthood, the film follows their enduring friendship as they navigate dreams, motherhood, loss, and the passage of time. Blending documentary observation with the visual language of Sanguinetti's celebrated photographic work, The Illusion of an Everlasting Summer is a meditation on memory, identity, and the fleeting nature of youth.
