Mohamed, a nomad in his fifties, lives in a remote area of the eastern Moroccan desert. He searches for fragments of stone scattered in the desert by meteor showers. To Mohamed, these celestial objects represent an opportunity to improve his family’s lives forever. Meanwhile, Abderrahmane, a scientist, relies on these same stones to conduct his research on the origins of Earth and life itself. One is linked to the Earth, the other to the sky. One tries to survive in the hostility of the unchanging desert, the other to understand how the Earth manages to survive in the cosmos. Behind these fragments, elements of human complexity are hidden. The quests of these men reveal them.
