Renowned director and choreographer Dimitris Papaioannou and his team are preparing Transverse Orientation. Inspired by the myth of the Minotaur, the performance uses light as a guide, transcending linear narrative structures and questioning hierarchies, identity and communication. Since its premiere in 2021, the production has travelled across three continents, twenty countries and thirty-one cities. The film focuses on a central question, “Why do we do what we do?”, highlighting art as an act of resistance against the fleeting nature of life and as a means of giving it meaning.
