Alice, a trans woman, finds solace in surfing the waters of Maceió, Brazil. After losing her father, spurred on by the very real fear of discrimination and violence, she distances herself from the sport that helped her feel closer to him until she finds her community and, ultimately, her peace, a sense of freedom—and the joy of surfing once again.
