For doctors of the time, it was Ada Lovelace's (1815-1852) "jumping uterus" that was the origin of her scientific temperament. A crazy theory that allowed her successes to be minimized: the first programmer in history, the daughter of the poet Lord Byron developed the algorithm for the calculating machine imagined by the mathematician Charles Babbage.
