Hui successfully infuses the assassin genre with a serious social message, distinguishing herself as the New Wave director most adept at navigating the balance between commercial viability and artistic expression.

"Liminal Nightmares" is the second world by Autumn Boyd in a series of liminal spaces. The first project was titled "Liminal Dreams" and focused on bright nostalgic pools. This entry is darker, focusing on more abstract areas and allowing more freedom. The world features small items to collect, adding a game play element that encourages players to explore. According to Autumn Boyd, liminality is to be in a state of transition, like passing through a hallway or an empty hotel. The horror of a silent night walking through a hotel is the juxtaposition of feeling that you're alone and safe and yet still something might be waiting for you around the corner. The same feeling is found running through a dark hallway after turning off the lights. These shared human experiences are core to the project and relies on curiosity overcoming fear. There's nothing in the dark, it's just your imagination.

"The White Saboteur is an immersive, persistent installation in which the viewer becomes, despite themselves, the agent of the disappearance of a fictional glacial world. Fitted with a VR headset, they enter a persistent polar landscape, but their gaze alone is enough to accelerate its erasure. Icebergs and glaciers dissolve as the viewer watches until they leave the universe, leaving behind, for the next visitor, a territory already degraded, doomed to extinction. As the installation runs, the climate keeps worsening from one visitor to the next and no two spectators ever witness quite the same landscape. In diptych form, a screen renders in real time the fossilised version of this glacial matter erased in VR, now adrift in the void of space, making visible to all the individual impact of each user. Beyond the metaphor of last-chance tourism, the work stands as a critique of a deeper, capitalist logic of consumption applied to the world itself, and of technology as a tool both of exploration and of destruction. It questions our choices, virtual or real, and our responsibility towards threatened landscapes, starting with those of the cryosphere. The project was developed in close collaboration with glaciologists and polar researchers, grounding this fictional world in real climate data and keeping it firmly tied to the physical realities it evokes. Would one still enter a world, knowing that the act of entering it is what destroys it?"

"Fractured Winter" is the first part of "Fractured World" Series, consisting of "Fractured Winter", "Fractured Reality" and "Fractured Dimension". The series is about imagination, motivation and internal conflicts. This first part features a cold, snowing world with a big an bright anomaly in the sky that distorts space. This is meant to reference Lavryou's own mind which, despite being surrounded by cold, freezing thoughts, still has something within that lives and distorts the surrounding, generating hope and bright ideas. "Fractured Winter" also features an animation narrating how an idea can come to life in such a cold and lifeless world.
In the frozen silence of an arctic wilderness, an abandoned research station continues to listen. Built by an unknown company for a forgotten purpose, its antennas remain active as a mysterious signal from the void grows steadily stronger. Its main goal was to perform experiments and study the planet seen in the horizon. The facilities are now only maintained by L.A.V.S – Long-term Autonomous Virtual Support, an automated robot assistant that provides information and directions on the facilities. "Frozen Signal" is an atmospheric narrative exploration experience that invites visitors to wander through several abandoned research stations and interact with several gimmicks located on them.

In this newly commissioned artwork by the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art, Malani extends her Animation Chambers series, a form she developed since 2017, where multiple iPad animations come together to create an all-encompassing experience. These animations archive the microclimates that occupy the artist's mind and are externalised into the world as visual notes for reflection. They are thought chambers that create a sensorial explosion with a dynamic relay/ play of projections, sound, scale, and surface. Of Woman Born offers a contemporary reflection on the ancient mythical figure of Orestes, who killed his mother in retaliation for the death of his father. Despite being pursued by the Erinyes, the Greek goddesses of justice and revenge, Orestes was later pardoned by the Goddess Athena with no retribution for his actions. For Malani, the contemporary world is unfolding much like the story of Orestes, where wars are led in the name of self-defence with no accountability for individuals who perpetrate the violence. She asks us to have a relook at the geopolitical demarcations of the world and locate the agency of women who bear the brunt of the global conflict."

A typical police station situated in an old area of 1994's Beijing: one day a rabid dog bites a drunkard and coincidentally, in a periodical clean-up, the Police Headquarters decide to remove all the domestic dogs in the city (dog ownership was not allowed inside the urban area at the time). The unusual task adds up a heavy load to the routine duties of the policemen and the stress level rises to a breaking point.
"John Jorissen teaches philosophy in a small liberal arts school in the American Midwest, and is writing a book on Spinoza. His life revolves around teaching, writing and spending time with his partner Becca, a fellow professor, and her adolescent son Willie. Jorissen is smart, serious and distant. This episodic, interactive drama was commissioned by the Lincoln Center. It speaks directly to the climate change generation with a thrilling father-daughter story that addresses themes of sustainability, immigration, and multicultural communities. It features a diverse and recognizable cast, including Orlando Jones, Ayelet Zurer, Geoffrey Arend, and Beth Grant.
"The Antikythera Mechanism" is an astrological clock that moves in real-time, allowing visitors to explore the current planetary positions from a geocentric perspective. They can input any date, past or future, into the mechanism's interactive dials and watch the movement of the planets travel through time. Twelve ancient god statues border the chamber, granting "zodiacal inspiration" to those who give offering. A photobox on the second floor allows visitors to capture a birds- eye view of astrological charts, with visual toggles for mathematical aspects and classical planetary sigils.
A mysterious smoke covers western Thailand, triggering a strange infectious disease whose symptoms resemble burns inflicted by an invisible fire. A villager from the Karen ethnic group is arrested deep in the jungle and taken to a quarantine centre. There, he dreams of returning to his mountain homeland. His wife, who has sought refuge in Bangkok, shares the same longing. But their hope is threatened by forest rangers determined to burn down their village to make way for a national park. Beyond the veil of smoke, an abandoned theatre stands hidden in the jungle, haunted by ogre soldiers fleeing the King's army in an ancient war reflecting the struggle of the villagers.
"Break" is an event series that started during the pandemic, where we try all sorts of visual experiments in unique environments, often changing entirely from song to song. It's meant as a place where friends can meet up and go on a journey together. "Me sinto feliz" – or "I feel happy" – is a lyric from the legendary Gal Costa, later reimagined by Kaytranada, which kicks off this 75-minute DJ set. Each track switches up the world and has some wild visual FX layered overtop. At the end it is possible to settle in a larger open scene where people can hang out if they wish.
"Nox is an autobiographical immersive experience that explores trauma, dissociation, and the fragile boundary between existence and disappearance. Drawing from the director's lived experience of complex PTSD, the work transforms psychological states such as identity fragmentation, depersonalization, and Alice in Wonderland Syndrome into spatial narrative and embodied interaction. Guided by a quiet voice, participants move through a dreamlike world composed of memories, drawings, sounds, and fragments of consciousness shaped by lived trauma. Hands distort, space collapses, perception shifts, and the participant's own body becomes part of a landscape where reality is unstable and the self begins to dissolve. Through a series of hand-based embodied interactions that evoke cross-modal tactile sensations, VR/MR transitions, and intimate first-person storytelling, Nox invites participants not simply to observe trauma from the outside, but to enter the unstable space trauma creates. The work traces a quiet movement toward beauty, connection, and the will to keep living."

"Spatialography" is a coined term combining "Spatial" with "-graphy," a mode of depiction. Technologies such as photogrammetry and 3D Gaussian Splatting have brought new means to record and reconstruct real-world places. Just as photography and film evolved from documentation into expressive media, spatial media will develop techniques beyond simple recording. This world presents prototype works exploring how these techniques can serve as modes of expression, and whether space itself can speak. To push expression within VRChat's constraints, custom converters and shaders were developed to display 3DGS with original visual treatments. The practice also extends into the physical world: VR spaces are captured and 3D-printed, materializing virtual space in reality. "Spatialography" is not a single work, but an ongoing practice of transforming recorded space into expressive form.

At first glance, "A World Of My Own" is a world comprising several Victorian-style rooms. Each of these old-fashioned rooms such as the bedroom, library and kitchen is furnished with stately furniture, dresses and various ornaments, allowing you to imagine an elegant life there. However, as you explore the rooms, you may notice a few oddities. When that sense of the strangeness comes together, you will uncover the truth of the story. This world is an entry in 1MonthWorldWorks, a world-creation event organised by VRChat users. Participants create worlds from scratch within the limited timeframe of one month. It is one of the answers I arrived at after asking myself, "Why do I create worlds?"
"Memory" is a project about imagined childhood memories. It's about sensations – vague, fantastical, half-faded – that replaced reality with a fairy jumble, where meanings blossoms with new clusters of interpretations, while the blooming eyes of an inner observer watch intently to all of this. Technically, this world is a gallery of Lera Nibiru's analog works – drawings and paintings – whose scenes flow smoothly into 3D reality. This is a total installation but one that is nearly impossible to construct in the real world. Here, Lera Nibiru wanted to recreate the sensation of a visitor transforming from a spectator into a participant, as the boundary between observer and observed blurs. If the visitor climbs to the highest point in the world, from the tip of the thumb they can see how elements of reality – pavilions and structures – form the word 'Memory', reminding us that everything we see is merely a conceptual construct of our inner memory.

Desert Palms is a single-location immersive stereoscopic 180° short film set inside a hospital ER waiting room across the street from a large music festival. The film follows a throng of injured characters as they get increasingly more mad about having to wait to be seen by an extremely slow and overwhelmed ER facility. The film is an existential comedy and a slice of life at its most hilariously downtrodden.
