“Yuyaymanta” narrates, from the collective memory of the Indigenous uprising of June 2022 in Ecuador, through personal testimonies and archival footage. The documentary amplifies the voices of victims and their relatives who share vivid and painful memories of the protest; it documents psychological aftereffects, physical wounds, and irreparable losses, as well as the ongoing efforts to heal and honor resistance in pursuit of a more just and equitable future.
