Consider, for a second, the India we live in today. Imagine how far we have come from a shackled existence as colonized people to being an emerging global power. Much of this is thanks to the contributions of eminent, post-independence Indian scientists. While some of them got global recognition, there are many others who were forgotten even as their discoveries continue to shape the modern world.

'Forgotten Indian Scientists' is a celebration of the life and times of unsung heroes from the Indian scientific community - the ones who shaped our future in elemental ways yet whose genius still awaits due recognition. The series covers:

Sipra Guha, the Indian botanist who discovered Haploid generation in plants through anthers.

Obaid Siddiqui, a pioneering neuroscientist, molecular biologist and Institute Builder and

Sambhunath De, the medical scientist who discovered the Cholera toxin.
