The 90-year-old grandmother Ina gradually loses her memory but questionable 9th of May rituals are still sacred for the proud veteran of WWII. Mother Irina is stuck between the ailing Ina and distancing husband Raul, who candidly refuses to celebrate two New Year’s Eves and prefers to end displeasing traditions of the shady past. Younger sister Patricija is a child of Latvian Independence with absolutely different values.
