When a group of amateur divers discover a 400-year-old gown in a shipwreck off the coast of the tiny island of Texel, The Netherlands, they have no idea what their find will set in motion. The treasures they salvage from the wreck put the divers on a collision course with mainland government agencies, national museums and the international scientific community. The divers prefer to keep their illegal treasures on Texel, but the world’s foremost researchers are shocked by the way they have been handled. While a media storm and scandal brews, a local museum fights for the right to exhibit the priceless 17th century gown on the island.
