Through the interview with three Swiss geologists, this video traces the history of the golden age of Alpine geology, between the end of the 18th century and the beginning of the 20th century: the first discoveries and theories, the rivalries between the great spirits of the time or the link between the understanding of the Alps and the discovery of the continental drift theory. This video project is part of the exhibition "The folds throughout time - Pioneers looks on the birth of the Alps" which is held from May 15 to July 26, 2023 in the exhibition hall of the University of Geneva.
