The First Flower is a short experimental fiction film by Kosovo-born artist and filmmaker Astrit Ismaili. Blending performance art, speculative fiction, music, and queer mythology, the film follows a transformative journey in which bodies, identities, and nature merge into new forms of existence. Through ritualistic imagery and hybrid performance, The First Flower explores gender fluidity, belonging, collective memory, and the possibility of imagining alternative futures.
