The Earth (circa 1943) is an educational science film produced by the U.S. Navy in collaboration with Springer Pictures. The film explains the arrangement and meaning of geographical concepts such as the poles, great circles, parallels, meridians, longitude, latitude, nautical mile, and departure. It was released for public educational use through the U.S. Office of Education in 1943.
