In the Peruvian Amazon, an Indigenous community make a bio-material alternative to animal-derived and synthetic leather while defending their land. Working with the sap from the native shiringa tree, Awajún people carve fine lines into trees to make this material, healing the trees with soil and leaving them to rest. The film follows this making process, the community's connection to their land, and how they work with material innovator Caxacori Studio. Designer Mozhdeh Matin is seen working with the material.
