Alessandro de' Medici makes an impassioned plea to reunite the good people of Florence. Rhinoceros resembles a televised broadcast during the final days of Muammar Gaddafi's reign. The film will eventually be incorporated into a feature-length work that examines the parallel worlds of politics and performance in 16th-century Italy and 20th-century Hollywood, through the characters of de' Medici and African-American actress Gail Fisher.
