Traction is exerted on the injury. Diagrams show the direction that the bones will be pulled in. The intertitles explain how the traction apparatus works. A demonstration is performed with a model. A plaster cast is applied and molded under the traction. The leg is placed on a leg splint, and the leg pin is removed. X-rays of before and after treatment are shown. The patient is shown three weeks later with a new cast that allows him to walk freely without the aid of a cane.
