A growing group of eco-activists, anti-capitalists, and anarchists establish an experimental, self-sufficient community in a French forest. Originally formed in opposition to a new airport, the movement evolves into a social laboratory for sustainability and equality. Activists renovate farms, build cabins, and occupy abandoned houses to create an alternative society free from state control. However, the government refuses to tolerate their presence, leading to a violent confrontation that turns the forest into a battleground. A poetic yet intense David-and-Goliath tale, Red Forest captures the tension between environmental activism and state power through a bold cinematic vision.
