Mária Kopp was a Hungarian physician, psychologist, academic doctor of psychological sciences, whose main research area was interdisciplinary research at the interface of psychology and physiology using clinical psychophysiological and behavioural epidemiological methods.
She has organised several representative surveys to investigate the psychosocial determinants of health and quality of life.
She was a courageous woman, living by the principles she preached. Marriage, having children and family life have motivated her throughout her life and her initiatives now seem to have paid off.
