The summer after finishing school, a group of teenagers visit Fuenza, a friend of theirs who has been struggling with a serious illness for several years. During the visit, Fuenza lends Juan Pablo a book of poems, and the next day, he suddenly seems to improve. The group shares, without knowing it, the last days with him, who soon dies. Juan Pablo, to cope with the mourning, begins to write poetry, and Fuenza, in order to rest in peace, asks him to take all the books from his house.
