Produced to interest school-leavers of both sexes in nursing as a career, the film shows how male and female nurses work as a team. The increasingly important role of male nurses is also addressed, particularly in the treatment of mental illness and in intensive care. Teamwork is re-emphasised in the final sequence of split-second co-operation by male and female staff dealing successfully with a cardiac arrest.
