Lunch with Fela is the filmmaker's response to the death of his mother, Fela Ravett. Using a combination of shots filmed on DV during his stay at a nearby clinic, excerpts from previous 16mm films, animation sequences, family memories, the film conveys the presence and absence of a very loved. This film is the eighth in a series that addresses the complexities of family history and identity in Jewish culture.
