Libra: As We Witness the Careless Slip of the Scale (2005) is a video art piece by Kate Johnson. It was created as part of an installation, in reaction to post‑9/11 conflicts, the escalation of violence, and the blurred lines between justice, revenge, and devastation. The work meditates on the consequences of retributive thinking (“an eye for an eye”) and how, over time, the boundaries between victim and perpetrator can collapse.
