Ronald Reagan’s visit to Berlin in 1982 provoked violent demonstrations by pacifists, feminists and other protesters. In his first short film, in the form of a political pamphlet, Raoul Peck uses skilful editing to paint a portrait of the lies embodied by the American president, and denounces the degradation of the meaning of words in the public sphere.
