Epigenetics is changing our understanding of evolution and perhaps, in part, our own heredity. Our genes do not control everything: our DNA is in fact influenced by fascinating mechanisms that have recently been discovered. Why does a bee, with the same genes, become a queen rather than a worker, just by consuming royal jelly? Why are two identical twins sometimes so different (one chronically ill, the other in great shape)? This documentary attempts to answer these questions. Diet, pollutants, stress and many other phenomena in our environment can modify the expression of our gene programs.
