In 1970, Bruno Breguet, in his early twenties is arrested in Israel while trying to smuggle explosives for the Palestinian resistance. During his detention he becomes radicalized and upon leaving prison joins the terrorist group Carlos. He mysteriously disappears in 1995. The film reconstructs Breguet's story by meeting the people who knew him, reflects on the means and ends of struggle and the meaning of militancy then and now.
