Off the east coast of Australia, the Great Barrier Reef covers a total of 350,000 km². This exceptionally rich biotope is threatened by climate degradation, pollution, and intensive fishing. Biologists and ecologists are mobilizing. Among them, Kathleen Swalling is actively participating in a public awareness campaign to support a proposed nature reserve.
