Julia meets Daniel, a musician who is stranded in Cuxhaven. Julia is immediately drawn to Daniel's talent and vulnerability, and decides to make a film about him. However, the project takes an unexpected turn when Daniel begins to communicate with Julia through long video messages, expressing his desire to run away with her. At first, Julia is intrigues, but as time goes on, she becomes overwhelmed by his demands and begins to question the power dynamics of their relationship. As the filmmaking process progresses, Daniel takes control from afar, using only his cellphone to direct the project. The film seems to surrender to the mind of its protagonist, as Daniel's cries for attention and his struggles with identity and belonging take center stage. The documentary raises important questions about the consequences of blurring the lines between art and life. Is Daniel truly shameless, or is the filmmaking process bringing out this behavior in him? Is Julia truly lost at sea, or does she have more control than she realizes?
