All of us take medicine at some point in our lives. But while medicines can do us a world of good, they can sometimes also do harm. The Sweden-based Uppsala Monitoring Centre collects global data that enables those on the ground to make medicines safer. This work helps improve the health of people everywhere.
'Going Further Together' highlights the experiences and enthusiasm of leaders in medicines safety (pharmacovigilance) in Cape Verde, Morocco, Croatia, Peru, Singapore, and Sweden. Through the lens of local concerns – such as lack of knowledge about side effects, substandard pharmaceuticals, limited access to medicines, and black-market fakes – 'Going Further Together' offers us a view of global patient safety, and a vision of an even safer future.
