A condensed journey through Agustin Gainza's more than 40 years of relentless work in the city of Miami, and his dedication, from a young age, to painting, drawing, and ceramics. Gainza emotionally recounts how he overcame his parents' opposition to pursuing his vocation and studied painting in secret. He paid the price for opposing the ruling regime in Cuba--imprisoned for his political ideas, he watched helplessly as the guards tore up his artwork. Since 1979, Gaínza has lived in the city of Miami, establishing Gaínza Art Gallery on Calle 8 in 2001.
