After 20 years of traveling across Latin America, a Franco-Swiss ethnographer disappears from the map. Through travel diaries of various ethnographers and nonfiction film archives, the author imagines and constructs a travel journal of the unknown and incognito ethnographer of the 1950s and 1970s, a testimony to the industrial transformation, evangelization, and ethnocide of Latin American communities.
