She is also visiting the location she spread her mom’s ashes, and ode to the woman who inspired her to travel and make art. John Sonntag is the lead scientist for Operation IceBridge. He and his crew works tirelessly aboard a P-3 to gather information on the greenland ice sheet. Uncle is an inuit elder who speaks for the ice. He has traveled all around the world but still isn't convinced his message has been heard, even though his elders saw the ice melting for the first time in the 1960s. An example of the intersection of art, culture and science in a region defined by climate change.
