A two-channel documentary on 16 mm and Double-8 exploring the filmmaking sub-culture and experimental film practices in Latvia under Soviet occupation. Using hand-processed and in-camera techniques, archival amateur and independent films made in Latvia during the era of socialist-realist dominance are brought into conversation with the present—probing questions of image, memory, freedom and the material life of film.
