Jingsheng was born when her mother, Lao Hao, came to Beijing to appeal. From then on, she accompanied her mother to appeal in Beijing for more than 30 years. But they are not isolated cases. The director spent six years going deep into the petitioning village in Beijing and having spiritual conversations with a group of petitioners who came from all over the world to create a real world that is little known and closely related to the survival of the whole of China. The film begins with the story of the petitioner village and tells the fate of all crawlers.
