The Rene Magritte chicken processing facility ... and flower shop. Birdbath is a lamentation on lives lost, namely, the chicken and the flower. It portrays a chicken processing facility and a flower shop. By twisting/turning/building up meaning on metaphor, through sign/signified relationships, reality/abstraction, and poetry, this project attempts to understand how form can be anchored by geometry directed by story; a poetic, symbolic, romantic space filled with occult metaphor, rhyme and meter, achieving that by combining known imagery into formations that allow them to be perceived differently. The Queen is the chicken and the chicken is the queen; ceremony through the card as shell and the shell as card.
