Climate change and poverty lead to repeated hunger crises in Malawi. Many people leave in the hope of a better life in the cities or other countries. The village community of Beni no longer wants to accept this. The documentary accompanies young adults in their fight against drought, poverty and hunger. They plant trees, organize a savings group and support each other. The film not only provides insights about the consequences of the global climate crisis and the causes of flight, but above all conveys a feeling for the reality of people's lives through calm images and scenic observations.
