Using a locked camera angle, a captive bred solitary Black Bear in Berlin and the trees of its enclosure are disconnected from the ground. The anthropomorphic values we place on animals, in this case lamentation and loneliness, are positioned within a minimal and vacuous landscape, allowing our experience of looking to reflect the experience of the animal. The work is seamlessly looped.
