Set in the Balane 3 neighborhood of Inhambane, Mozambique, this observational documentary unfolds through fixed 16 mm-camera vignettes. We witness daily life—fishermen, car washers, family gatherings, music, dance, intimate moments and candid conversations from politics to sex. A community portrait alive with color, rhythm and everyday vibrancy, anchored in a refrain painted on a wall: “So far, surviving has prevented us from living.”
