Mirante Xique-Xique (MXX) is a place for research, production, immersion, and contact with nature. We promote careful and positive relationships with the community of Igatu and the Chapada Diamantina National Park. Through cultural activities, exchanges and environmental education, it is our mission to safeguard the region’s architectural and intangible heritage. The residency program is geared toward visual artists, curators, writers, architects, designers, chefs, environmentalists, and scholars who are interested in living, creating or being immersed in the environment of the Chapada Diamantina, Bahia. The program is research-oriented, and anyone who can determine their own working conditions is welcome. Not profit org dedicated to the cultural and environmental authenticity and heritage of the Chapada Diamantina (Bahia, Brazil). Through cultural activities, exchange programs, and environmental education, we promote awareness regarding the importance of biodiversity, the preservation and recovery of local biomes, and the safeguarding of the region’s architectural and intangible heritage.
