About

Haïku Films is a production company specializing in short and feature films for the cinema. Haïku Films has to date produced more than 25 short films, fiction, documentaries, and animations, selected for major festivals (Critics' Week, Brive, Clermont-Ferrand, Angers, Silhouette, Pantin, La Cabina, Winterthur, Go Short, etc.), as well as six feature films, including Des Garçons de province by Gaël Lépingle (2023), Fifi by Jeanne Aslan and Paul Saintillan (2023), winner of around ten festival awards, including the New Directors Grand Prize at the 2022 San Sebastian Film Festival, and Et demain le monde entier (And Tomorrow the Whole World), presented in official competition at the 77th Venice Film Festival, and Treasure (Treasure), presented at the 2024 Berlinale, both directed by Julia von Heinz, in co-production with Seven Elephants (Germany). At Haiku, we prioritize innovative projects, taking care not to reduce the complexity of the world around us. This desire in no way contradicts, quite the contrary, the desire to offer pleasure to the viewer. Above all, it aims to give them the place we ourselves like to occupy when we discover a film: that of an actor whom the work questions without dictating what they should think or feel.
