About
The Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia (CSC) is Italy’s national film school and one of Europe’s oldest and most prestigious institutions for film education (founded in 1935). Its Sicily branch, based in Palermo, was established in 2008 through an agreement with the Regione Siciliana and the Comune di Palermo. This branch is dedicated primarily to documentary cinema — what Italians call cinema del reale — fostering a dialogue between reality, observation, and creative storytelling.
