Media Art Xploration expands live performance through science and technology. We bring together storytellers, performers, scientists, and creative technologists to make music, dance, and immersive performance that raise awareness and spark constructive dialogue about the constant innovation around us. We illuminate scientific innovation through artistic expression and broaden artistic expression through scientific insight to create shared experiences and build a more informed democracy. In MAXlive 2019: A Space Festival and MAXlive 2021: The Neuroverse, MAX’s recent biennial festivals, we worked with over 150 artists and scientists to bring dozens of performances and presentations and 14 museum installations to over 15 ,000 audience members across 3 cities in partnership with 10 premiere venues including the Exploratorium, California Academy of Sciences, Carnegie Hall, New York Live Arts, ONX Studio, MASS MoCA, and the Norton Museum.
