Stefane Perraud is a French artist borned in 1975. He lives and works in Paris. His area of research deals with light’s energy and substance ; he works regularly with writers and scientists. His work opens a dialogue, fictional at times, with the almost invisible and the «inframince» ( Aesthetic concept created by Marcel Duchamp to express an imperceptible phenomenon, or a difference so slight that it can only be imagined) , in the perspective of the  linking human soul and activities, with the intimacy of the matter. His tools and preferred formats are hybrids, as he digs into new media, sciences and advanced technology.

His work is presented in numerous exhibitions in France and abroad, in places such as the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature, the 104, the Collège des Bernardins, the Lieu Unique, the Biennale Chroniques in Marseille, the Triennale de Milan, the Manoa Art Center in Hawaii, the Chambre Blanche in Quebec ....

He participates in numerous group exhibitions and contemporary art fairs such as YiA art Fair, Drawing Now, Volta Basel, Art Paris, Choices Paris...He obtains the European Vertigo residence grant in 2020, a residence at the Collège de France as part of the Open Lab in 2011 and a development grant from Pictanovo in 2013 for a nuclear-related art/science project. He is regularly supported by the CNC Dicream for his artistic research. He is a laureate of the New Worlds program initiated by the Ministry of Culture at the end of 2021.
