About

Salina is a PhD student in the History of Science Department. She is broadly interested in the relationship between technologies and environmental disturbance. She is currently considering a variety of questions, particularly surrounding aquatic ecosystems and the ways in which shipping technologies have facilitated the international transfer of marine organisms. Prior to beginning her doctoral studies, her other interests have included (but are not limited to) Indigenous relationships with land, environmental justice, garment labour workers in India, and experiential, place-based learning. In her free time she enjoys every sport involving water, especially sailing.
