Alejandro is a lefty Mexican-born and an Emmy-nominated Cinematographer based in Brooklyn N.Y. His work has screened at Sundance, Berlinale, Tribeca, Toronto, Rio de Janeiro and Camerimage film festival, amongst others. Winner Golden Frog Best Docudrama for “499” at Camerimage Film Festival 2020 Winner Best Cinematography for “499”  at Tribeca Film Festival 2020 In the year 2020 he has been nominated for Best Cinematography at the Emmy Awards (306 HOLLYWOOD). And in 2019 at the Critic Choice Awards (306 HOLLYWOOD). Since 2018 Alejandro is part of the AMC - Mexican Society of Cinematographers. He was at Sundance Film Festival 2018 with the Feature Film 306 HOLLYWOOD, premiering at the opening night for Next Section. To Berlinale he returned twice; once in 2015 with the film STAY AWAKE, winner of the Slamdance Film Festival, and once selected as Cinematographer for the Berlinale Talent Campus 2016. He won the Panavision Award for the Short Film MARTA ROSA at the Palm Springs International Film Festival 2015. Beyond his visual work as Cinematographer, he also directed episodes of the TV show SESIONES for Sony Latin American Television and  co-produced A SECRET WORLD by director Gabriel Mariño, which was premiering 2012 at Berlin Film Festival.
